Hey blog! I missed you! :D Harhar!

I know, I haven't been posting much here. Well, my blog's previous layout probably bored me. I don't know but when I look at it, I just don't feel like posting even if there are a lot of things that I want to share. Yes, I have a lot of stories to share but sadly, I don't know where I should begin. Haha! I also have some pictures to share. I had my twitterpated moments just recently. :">

Oh! Wait, I have a new discovery. Haha! Twitterpated means kilig in Filipino. I found it here. So yea, credits to her for that one. :)

Anyway, going back on the subject, I am so twitterpated because I took a picture with my friend's hot brothers. :"> :)) It took me a lot of guts to do that. =)) Man! Pakapalan talaga ng mukha. =)) Or maybe it was just an effect of being a little intoxicated. HAHA! Well, I'll tell the rest of the details next time. I still need to study for my Theology quiz tomorrow. Oh and I haven't answered my Humanities HW yet. I still need to wake up early tomorrow.

I like 1st semester better. :|

I haven't really blogged for quite a long time already and I miss is it so badly. I was pretty dumped with school work that's why I did not have time to update this. But now, since I already have the time to do so, I might as well not let this opportunity pass by.

This week was supposed to be our finals already but due to Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) that hit our country (specifically Metro Manila) last September 26, our school decided not to have our finals anymore. We just need to consult with our professors and fix our clearance during this week. So yea, nothing much to do and then next week is our semestral break already. Yipee? Maybe for us college students only. :P

It's been more or less a week since Typhoon Ondoy hit our country. Marikina, which is my hometown, was one of the most affected areas. It was a disaster! My family and I were not directly affected, which we are very thankful for, but unfortunately for our relatives who reside in other parts of Marikina, they were badly affected. It really pinched my heart when I saw what Ondoy left for them. It's very devastating. :( I'd say, I was emotionally traumatized by what I have seen. But what more to those people who were directly affected? :(

But looking at the brighter side, it's a good thing that some people are now slowly recovering from what happened and it would really take a long time for the Filipinos to get back on their feet again. It's also a good thing that Typhoon Pepeng, preceeded by Typhoon Ondoy, did not really become a super typhoon. It was said on an international weather forecast that it was equivalent to the strength of Hurricane Katrina but thank God that it wasn't.

Anyway, enough about the strom. Moving on...

I feel completely horrible about myself! See, last weekend, my parents were out of the country. They went to Malaysia for a medical conference and...leisure, perhaps. Since they were away for around 4 days, they were expecting us to text them. Anyway, to cut the long story short, they got angry at me for not replying to their messages and for not texting them. They felt like I didn't care for them.

Well, I have to admit that it was my fault. I should have texted them even if I didn't receive their messages.

Wait, no.

Actually, I did receive their messages but I received it on a later notice. Still, you should have replied, Lis!

God. I actually thought that this was a petty issue but for my mom, it's a big one! :| My dad was able to let it go last night when they arrived, or at least I think he did; but my mom, she's still mad at me. She wouldn't talk to me.

Okay. She did talk to me but she was giving me a sermon while eating dinner. Great.

Hello world! It's the 3rd week of August and this is my first blog entry for the month.

Well, what has been happening to me lately?

- I got myself an ACET application form. YAY! I'll finally be able to apply to one of my dream schools, Ateneo De Manila University. =) I really hope I could transfer there next school year.

- Cheerdancing scares me. :| 'Nuff said.

- We had our NSTP exposure last Monday at Quiapo, Manila. That sure was a taste of reality for us. A little scary but fun at the same time.

- I was sick for a couple of days. I had colds and sore throat. Thank God it was not A(H1N1). Well actually, it was clearly not the A virus since I didn't even have fever. Haha. I'm feeling a lot better now, by the way.

- I find myself thinking about him again which really sucks, by the way. I added him in Facebook and he accepted me. Then I started feeling something again---a feeling which I thought had vanished a long time ago. EWW. HAHA. For Pete's sake! He's already got a girlfriend and he is happy with her. So, I just need to deal with it. Besides, there are other guys out there who are probably way better than him. I don't sound bitter, do I? =))

Well, those are some things that are on top of my head right now. I shall update again soon and I'll try to make it more interesting. <3 12 comments

I was not able to update as I have scheduled. Well, for one, I got too depressed by my H101 quiz result and I was dead tired when I got home.

So, anyway. What has been going on with me?

1. I ran for First Year Council Treasurer.
- Shocking. That would probably be the reaction of most of the people I know in high school if they knew about this. Why? Because I was the typical, ordinary girl in school. I am really quiet. I consider myself a regular, ordinary person who does the regular and ordinary things. I don't really involve myself with the student council but surprisingly, I did. However, elections are done and I didn't win. It's okay though. :)

2. I joined the Miriam College Debate Society.
- UNBELIEVABLE. When I told some of my friends in high school about this, most of them said: "Weh?" =)) They would not believe it because they know that I suck at debating. BIG TIME. I don't even dare look back last February/March (this year) because it's making me cringe. 'Nuff said. So, anyway, going back to DebSoc, I didn't really have any plans of joining because of my past experience but then I have 2 friends namely, Angel and Jonah, who seem to have good persuading powers, so I ended up trying out for this org. Peer pressure? HAHAHA. Well, not really. I just thought that if I wanted to start over in college and have some fun & adventure, why not go for it? So, yea, I tried out for it and I was surprised that I even made it as a trainee. I attended one training day and it was...uhh...challenging. I liked the challenge but I realized that I have to quit because of the demands of the training. Also, I realized that I just felt that I am not completely ready for this and that I needed to focus on my studies first. So yea, bye-bye, DebSoc.

3. I rode the LRT for the first time going to UST.
- This happened just last Monday. I didn't go alone. I was actually with my friend, Jonah. It was really a fun experience, an adventure to be exact. We first went to school for the elections but then there were a lot of people voting so we decided to just go to UST first to visit some friends and go back to school before the elections end at 3pm. It was a good experience. The only bad thing about this was both of our parents didn't know about it because we know that they are all going to freak out. I know, I know! We're bad girls. XD Hmm... Well, not really okay? Cos it was for a good cause. It's good to be a street smart person. In that way, we are aware of our surroundings, right? Besides, we did not cut classes since we don't even have classes. Haha. Unfortunately, when we got back to school, the elections were over so yea, we didn't get to vote. We got at school around 3:30pm already. And oh, we also got wet because of the rain. (Good thing was we were not dripping wet.) It began to rain when we got back at Katipunan. Too bad we didn't have our umbrellas with us, so we had to rush to 7Eleven to buy because it really rained hard while we were walking. We still had a long way to go then but indeed, it was an adventure. And thank God, we didn't get sick & caught and we got back home safely. :)

So far, those are the major highlights of my first year in college. There's probably more to come soon. Haha.

Anyway, that's quite a long post I guess. I have to wrap up my post since my brain is kinda tired. Dang. I still need to do advanced reading for History. I really have to make up for it since my last quiz was so...terrifying.

It's been just 15 days since that last time I blogged and...I really miss blogging. A LOT. I have so much to blab about. There were so many things that happened for the past days/weeks and it's either I loved or hated every single minute of it. Well, since I kind of have a scattered brain right now, I'm afraid I cannot blog that long. I can't even focus. Damn!

I'll just come back tomorrow and update.

For now, I have to get back on memorizing the map of Asia. Yea, History 101 quiz tomorrow.
